From Chico, CA., Satava is the master of jellyfish, which have graced our Gallery for decades. These stunning creatures are skillfully created, and dazzle all who see them. Equally as impressive is his Petroglyph Series; bowls, paperweights and “rocks” adorned with glass drawings. A gem in the glass world, we are lucky to call Satava a friend and a staple in the Gallery.
After 50 years, Satava announced his retirement from glass in January of 2026. A staple in the glass community, his work will be missed.
