One-of-a-kind kilnformed glass sculpture by California artist Blake Warner.
My current collection, Landscapes in Glass, expresses the ethereal and changing nature of landscape, sky, wind, and water. As an avid traveler, I use a variety of locations for inspiration in my work. Each freestanding abstract glass sculpture captures a moment in time like a three-dimensional transparent watercolor. Much like the natural environment, the look of each piece changes with the amount and direction of light, creating variety and nuance to each sculpture.
Blake Warner’s appreciation of the natural environment was a motivational factor in choosing her design career both in landscape and in glass. As an artist and former landscape architect, she brings her design skill, passion and experience to the kiln glass studio. She has studied at the Corning Museum of Glass Studio and Bullseye Glass Resource Centers to develop the technical skills necessary to create unique sculptural pieces inspired by the natural environment. Blake incorporates the colors and patterns of place to capture the beauty of light and form.
