Artist and author of “Life on the Rails” a book of glassblowing techniques, Steven Ciezki is known for his drawings and paintings on glass and his Stack and Tower sculptures. With a background in traditional drawing, painting, glassblowing, and photography, he uses new technology to make meditative and rhythmic art. Creating art is therapeutic to Steven and he is motivated by his new discoveries from the past. Glass is his primary medium for creativity because it is one of the most versatile artistic materials.
Steven was a resident artist at the Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass in 2014, the recipient of the Art Group Creative Fellowship at Canberra Glassworks in 2018 and has lectured and demonstrated at glass studios in Turkey, Belgium, Australia, Japan, and the USA. He is a loving husband and pup dad, and recently hiked Patagonia, Mont Blanc, and the Dolomite mountains.
